PEDIATRIC DENTIST NEAR MARIETTA, GA

Dr. Sheh Vahid

As a skilled pediatric dentist near Marietta, Dr. Vahid is the private owner and solo practitioner of Woodland Pediatric Dentistry. Growing up in a family of dentists, she knew what kind of career she would have later in life. After shadowing her parents’ practice and gaining experience in assisting, sterilizing, and taking radiographs, she witnessed the impact her father had on young patients. As a result, she, too, wanted to pursue pediatric dentistry.

After earning her bachelor's degree in biology and physiology at Michigan State University, she enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and earned her doctoral degree. Then she completed her general practice residency at the University of Rochester Eastman Dental Center, with a focus on pediatric dentistry. To become a board-certified pediatric dentist, she completed her specialty training at the University of Michigan.

During her time in school, she underwent training to treat children of all ages, including those with special needs. She also discovered a passion for infant oral health, which led her to complete research that earned her a Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry.

She is currently an active member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

When she’s not busy helping young patients achieve healthier smiles, you’ll find her spending time outside. She enjoys playing tennis, snow skiing, and eating at local restaurants. She also spends much of her time traveling.
